Our surgical suite provide for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. It is equipped with heated tables for your pet’s comfort and safety. Using state of the art equipment, the patient’s full vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures to add a greater margin of safety for your pet. During surgery, your pet is monitored by our monitoring equipment and manually by a qualified vet assistant. We monitor for heart rhythm and rate, respiratory rate and depth, the amount of oxygen in the blood, temperature, carbon dioxide content, and blood pressure. All anesthetic procedures come with a certain amount of risk. We try to reduce that risk as much as possible by checking your pet’s internal health with blood screening prior to any surgical procedure. (See Pre-Anesthetic Blood Screening for details.)
