Dr. Proce is a certified Medical Laboratory Technician, specifically trained to perform and interpret laboratory results. The Animal Hospital of Havre de Grace has state of the art in-house laboratory equipment providing convenient test results. Our blood machines can run full hermatology panels, which look at a patient’s red cell count, white cell count and platelet numbers. We also have the capability of checking blood chemistry values which assess the health of various internal organs, as well as thyroid levels, electrolytes and blood sugar. Furthermore, we are able to check for various infectious diseases in a matter of minutes, such as Parvo Virus, Heartworm disease, Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids. In addition to our blood machines, we are equipped to check stool samples and urine samples in house. Our equipment allows us to provide high quality diagnostic medicine without the hassle of waiting for an outside laboratory to return results next day.
